1,001 Obamian Nights

“The more I study religions the more I am convinced that man never worshiped anything but himself.” —Sir Richard Francis Burton

Like Burton’s Arabian Nights, there are 1,001 reasons to oppose the re-election of Barack Hussein Obama. The fact of his race is not one of them.  On the other hand, the Obama campaign certainly believes that phenotype is the primary reason that one group of citizens should vote for him.   Thus, we have African-Americans for Obama, created by Barack Obama in the most blatant bit of racial hustling seen since Jesse Jackson was in his prime.  In the words of Stephanie Brown, National African-American Vote Director:

One of the fondest memories from my childhood in Cleveland was my introduction to community organizing…I’m proud to organize African Americans across the country as we rally to keep the first African-American President of the United States in office for a second term.

A ‘post-racial’ presidency? As Da Tagliare remarks at Godfather Politics:

[...] over the past three years, I’ve read so many similar reports of black people voting for Obama solely on the color of his skin. In reality, that makes the 2008 presidential election the most racist election in US history. Furthermore, the people who claim to fight racism are the ones that made it a racist election. (America in Deep Trouble Because 2008 Presidential Election About Race Not Politics)

Nonetheless, many of Obama’s supporters are quick to accuse others of that which they are guilty, a tried-and-true tactic from the Progressive’s book of dirty tricks:

“…let’s not forget that influential Obama chums are masters of the political technique known as ‘astroturfing.'”—Patrick O’Hannigan, Catch-22 Revisited

Astroturfing—the act of trying to boost one’s image online with fake comments, paid-for reviews, made-up claims and testimonials. (Urban Dictionary)

A personal example from last night’s twittering, in which a tweet I entered following the Academy Awards was changed then re-tweeted by what I suspect is one of Obama’s many underhanded (or is that lefthanded?) zombies:

This serial offender has been reported to the Twitter gendarmes, of course, but as of this writing, he remains on the loose.  A minor incident in my case, but a serious problem on the national level, where the slander of Obama’s opponents is routine, conducted with impunity, and ignored by the mainstream media.

By next January, America will have endured not 1,001 but 1,460 Obamian nights.  No one is racist because they’re unwilling to see 1,461.

Bob, did you see my piece on Broowaha about Obama and the race issue? http://www.broowaha.com/articles/12689/voting-for-obama-is-racist If a white politician tried to play the race card like the Obama camp there would be an outrage.

    • Bob Mack says:

I did read that, ANA; in fact, I think I quoted part this part of it somewhere. It bears repeating:

He [Kevin Jackson] said something that I have long suspected though, for me, it was a truth that dare not speak its name – voting for Obama was racist! Let me qualify that by saying I believe that there were a great many people who voted for him more because of the colour of his skin than his merits as a candidate. Jackson is more direct –“They wanted a black president. Racists that they are they voted for the man because he’s black, not because he’s qualified.”

  2. What has this black president done besides set a bad example for black people?

    • Bob Mack says:

His little group should be called “African-Americans For Socialism.” Man, I am so damn sick of this hyphenated American b.s. … the damn Democrats/Socialists/Progressives & their ‘identity politics’ have poisoned civil discourse in this country.

  3. Sherry says:

A friend of mine who despises Obama was called a raaaacist the other day. She said, Fine. I hate his white side, too. lol
Nothing like manipulative guilt trippin’ head games when you have absolutely zip for electability substance to run on.

    • Bob Mack says:

I’m sick and tired of their constant invective. You’re a racist if you’re against Obama, and you’re a right-wing extremist if you’re for a patriot like Alan West. For a group that comprises only about 20% of the population, the left gets its voice heard entirely too much. I believe in free speech, but these people make me wonder.

From The Ulsterman Report: Race Wars, Assassination Attempts and the Return of Occupy…(Insider Related)

“Look – they haven’t even started up the racism stuff. The class division stuff…you think they have? Not even close. Gonna be a whole lot more of that sh-t comin’ by summer. The Occupy crap – they are still working that out. How they wanna use that thing. Axelrod is…he had a meetup with some of that – some of them… a bit back. About a month ago – a few weeks ago. Yeah – keepin’ tabs on the mustache.

And don’t forget the threat to the president. What took place – those shots at the White House…test run stuff. And where was my credit for that? Hell – I told you something along those lines was about to break – and what was it…couple weeks? Couple weeks and then it happened? There will be more of that kind of thing comin’. Gonna fit in with the race card stuff. How those terrible mean ole’ Republicans never gave Obama chance ’cause he’s Black you know. That was it. Not the fact he’s pretty much set the world on fire while he’s at it…no – it’s just ’cause he’s Black, right? All that stuff is gonna try and come together.” —WHITE HOUSE INSIDER

  6. Bob,
Interesting little adventure there on Twitter, huh?

The Obamabots are crawling all over the place.

    • Bob Mack says:

Yeah, AOW, I was furious with that troll, bot or not. Haven’t heard back from the Twitter authorities since I contacted them requesting that they shut him down for violation of services. So-called progressives are the most dishonorable pack of jackals it’s ever been my displeasure to meet.

  7. bunkerville says:

In my humble opinion, he would like nothing better than for a race war. His whole effort has been to turn neighbor against neighbor, rich against poor, on and on ad naseum.

  8. KingShamus says:

For a lot of voters it comes down to this question: Can you actually fire the first black president? I think many Americans have a lot of emotion invested in the idea of a black president.

The thing is, I really don’t know how many people–regardless of skin tone–can answer ‘yes’ to that question.
