Paging Doctor Mengele…

Liberal ethics on all their gory display:

Killing Babies No Different From Abortion, Experts Say |Telegraph

The article, published in the Journal of Medical Ethics, says newborn babies are not “actual persons” and do not have a “moral right to life”. The academics also argue that parents should be able to have their baby killed if it turns out to be disabled when it is born…

“The moral status of an infant is equivalent to that of a fetus in the sense that both lack those properties that justify the attribution of a right to life to an individual.”

The authors therefore concluded that “what we call ‘after-birth abortion’ (killing a newborn) should be permissible in all the cases where abortion is, including cases where the newborn is not disabled”.

Let’s try a little experiment in word substitution in order to clarify the arguments of the ‘ethicists':

  • Newborn babies Jews are not actual persons and do not have a moral right to life.”
  • “The moral status of an infant a Jew is equivalent to that of a fetus in the sense that both lack those properties that justify the attribution of a right to life to an individual.”
  • “What we call after-birth abortion ‘The Final Solution’ (killing a newborn Jew) should be permissible in all the cases where abortion is, including cases where the newborn  Jew is not disabled.”

Now let’s return to academia, where the outraged Professor Julian Savulescu, director of the Oxford Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics, is busy wringing his bloody hands over supposed death threats received by the article’s authors:

He said those who made abusive and threatening posts about the study were “fanatics opposed to the very values of a liberal society”

Hmm.  It might seem to the layman that most of the death threats are those being offered by ‘ethicists’ advocating the cold blooded murder of innocent babies. But what does the layman know? Professor Savulescu and his associates are the experts—they have degrees. Let’s try another word substitution:

  • “those who made abusive and threatening posts about the study National Socialism were ‘fanatics opposed to the very values of a liberal society’…”

Ah, yes—the ‘liberal society.’  Eliminate the word “National,” and you’re left with Socialism in all its modern international glory:

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told a House panel Thursday that a reduction in the number of human beings born in the United States will compensate employers and insurers for the cost of complying with the new HHS mandate that will require all health-care plans to cover sterilizations and all FDA-approved contraceptives, including those that cause abortions.  Sebelius: Decrease in Human Beings Will Cover Cost of Contraception Mandate | CNSNews.com

Liberals kill ‘em when they’re young & kill ‘em when they’re old:

Dutch mobile euthanasia units to make house calls

A controversial system of mobile euthanasia units that will travel around the country to respond to the wishes of sick people who wish to end their lives has been launched in the Netherlands.

The scheme, which started on Thursday , will send teams of specially trained doctors and nurses to the homes of people whose own doctors have refused to carry out patients’ requests to end their lives.

The launch of the so-called Levenseinde, or “Life End”, house-call units – whose services are being offered to Dutch citizens free of charge – coincides with the opening of a clinic of the same name in The Hague, which will take patients with incurable illnesses as well as others who do not want to die at home.

The scheme is an initiative by the Dutch Association for a Voluntary End to Life (NVVE), a 130,000-member euthanasia organisation that is the biggest of its kind in the world.

“From Thursday, the Life End clinic will have mobile teams where people who believe they are eligible for euthanasia can register,” Walburg de Jong, a NVVE spokesman, said.

“If they do comply, the teams will be able to carry out the euthanasia at patients’ homes should their regular doctors be unable or refuse to help them,” he added.

The Netherlands was the first country to legalise euthanasia in 2002 and its legislation on the right to die is considered to be the most liberal in the world.

  3. If a minute after birth is okay, what about an hour after birth? If an hour after birth is okay, what about a day after birth. If a day after birth is okay, what about a year after birth? If a year after birth is okay, what about 13 years after birth? Teenagers can be such a nuisance, don’t you think?

  4. Bob Mack says:

Especially when said teens grow up to be Democrats … such as Sandra Fluke, the 30-year old law student who wants the federal government to pay for her contraceptives. Oops, she’s now been exposed as a long-time activist:

Sandra Fluke’s Appearance Is No Fluke

For me the interesting part of the story is the ever-evolving “coed”. I put that in quotes because in the beginning she was described as a Georgetown law student. It was then revealed that prior to attending Georgetown she was an active women’s right advocate. In one of her first interviews she is quoted as talking about how she reviewed Georgetown’s insurance policy prior to committing to attend, and seeing that it didn’t cover contraceptive services, she decided to attend with the express purpose of battling this policy. During this time, she was described as a 23-year-old coed. Magically, at the same time Congress is debating the forced coverage of contraception, she appears and is even brought to Capitol Hill to testify. This morning, in an interview with Matt Lauer on the Today show, it was revealed that she is 30 years old, NOT the 23 that had been reported all along.

In other words, folks, you are being played. She has been an activist all along and the Dems were just waiting for the appropriate time to play her

  6. I sometimes feel like we’re living in the twilight zone. Basic morals, the santity of human life, is just a quaint thought to so many these days. It’s hard to reason with evil, isn’t it?

I don’t get to make comments every day, but I read here every day, and I have to say, YOU have out-done yourself! One of the most hard-hitting posts yet!

And to YOU and all other bloggers that DO read here; we’re all fighting hard to save this nation, I don’t know what more we CAN do, but we have to find a way to redouble our efforts…

Ron Paul is a joke and I don’t give as DAMN who gets offended by my saying so, Newt hasn’t got a chance at this time, Santorum is a HUGE *maybe* and Romney is a WHITE Obama.

The last time the GOP offered up such a miserable ticket it was McLame and Bygollydon’tchaknowyoubetcha… Look what THAT got us…

    • AFVET says:

      ABO.
      I feel your pain.
      Paul is 76.
Mitt will be mittens against Obama’s machine.
Santorum is not dirty enough to fend off Obama’s attacks.
Newt has tons of baggage that has already been exposed, whereas, Obama’s baggage hasn’t been, yet.
A good poker player uses patience.

    • Bob Mack says:

Thanks, FRED. These Oxford academics have the cold-blooded audacity to call themselves ‘ethicists?’ Well, I suppose Hitler’s Ahnenerbe was chock full of similar “good intentions” when they began conducting their medical ‘experiments.’ As far as the GOP, I’ll hold my nose & vote for anybody not named ‘Obama.’

First they killed the old. Then they started killing the unborn and the recently born. Then they started killing the rest of us inbetween! And THAT is exactly what will happen! These libs who pay lip service to how “precious” life is are crazed in the head. Their actions NEVER match their words. Liberalism really IS a Mental Disorder and now that mental disorder is displaying aspects of psychotic murder. These people need to be stopped before they kill us all and don’t hold out hope that they’ll kill each other anytime soon. They won’t start killing each other until we are all dead! We used to put people like this away in the asylums never to see the light of day again. Why aren’t we doing it still? Oh, that’s right, I forgot. Because the psychotics are running this asylum!!

    • AFVET says:

I agree Rob on your point that liberalism is a mental disorder.
I swear, some of these people don’t have the intelligence to operate a toilet.

  9. I, too, posted on this horror.

I urge you to read Wildstar’s comment. Wildstar is one of my high school students. She “gets it” — and on a very personal level, too.

  10. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told a House panel Thursday that a reduction in the number of human beings born in the United States will compensate employers and insurers for the cost of complying with the new HHS mandate.

Ahem! Forget the morality issue for a moment. Think about what she is saying on another level: reducing the taxpayer base down the line.

You know, not every child not born would have been a burden on the taxpayers. We’ve got a serious demographic problem right now — the aging Baby Boomers and a reduced tax base to support the health care of those Boomers. Surely, Sebelius, as the head of the HHS, knows that fact. In 2011, Social Security and Medicare payments were FOURTEEN TIMES the annual federal revenue. Is that surreal, or what?

Classic example of hot air: Activists: Birth control can fight global warming

During a discussion series on Monday at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C., speaker and activist Kavita Ramdas argued that contraceptives should be part of a strategy to save the planet, calling lower birth rates a “common sense” part of a climate-change reduction strategy.

…Ramdas told The Daily Caller that the research shows “empowering women to time their pregnancies” and avoid unwanted births would reduce carbon emissions between 8 to 15 percent globally.

“It is common sense that when women are able to plan their pregnancies, populations grow more slowly and as a result so do greenhouse gas emissions,” she explained. “Providing access to contraception and preventative health should be one of the many effective strategies used to fight climate change.”

Ramdas is also executive director of the Program on Social Entrepreneurship at Stanford University.

Leftists … making the rest of us wish that contraception worked backwards.
