“Everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night.” —Rainer Maria Rilke
***
Spring is sprung, the grass is ris’, and we know where the Redbirds is. It’s hard to tell, though, if that April shrieking of which Rilke spoke comes from the riotous revolutionaries ready to once again despoil the country’s streets, or from the 99% of us that are sick of the sight of ’em :
They’re baaack… the American Bolsheviks. Can’t you just feel the violence in the spring air? Communism in bloom – just look at the list of them above. Occupy Wall Street is coming out of hibernation just as we predicted and they are good to go, ready for revolution and chaos. The American Spring is about to be born. Stay as far away from these useful idiots as you can. (American Bolsheviks – The Second Act|Noisy Room)
The late Al Capp, irascible, one-legged, curmudgeonly cartoonist, took potshots at these indefatigable buzzards over 30 years ago:
Nowadays, of course, one of their own is unaccountably perched in the Oval Office. At least, that’s where he’s supposed to be. But, what with his various vacations, golf outings, basketball games, and stump speeches to docile Democrats, no one’s likely to find him there. After all, there’s more roadkill to be had out in the hinterlands:
Obama Calls for More Redistribution of Wealth, Declaring: ‘I Am My Brother’s Keeper’
In a campaign speech in Vermont on Friday, President Barack Obama referenced the biblical story of Cain and Abel in condemning what he called “you’re-on-your-own economics” while arguing for a number of policies that involve government transferring wealth from one group of citizens to another…
What the Big Red One never mentions is that the U.S. already has the highest corporate tax rate in the increasingly uncivilized world. That, of course, is not enough to satisfy either the ravenous vultures in the Democratic Party or the jackals behind the Occupy movement, all of who would prefer the flesh picked from the bones of private citizens as well.
“Democracy,” said Karl Marx, “is the road to socialism.” And socialism is a dead-end street.

Thanks for the link. Well, at least he has doubled down now. I am not so sure most Americans want to, nor can be their “brothers Keeper”. Count me out on that one.
And now, because socialized medicine is endangered, he slams SCOTUS … libs, of course, are always in favor of judicial activism when it comes to shredding Constitutional protections.
He doesn’t even have the balls to call his policies by their right name…COMMUNIST.
Well, not many would vote for a Communist…that’s why they started themselves Democrats.
We won’t hear the parable of the talents out of this president. Wasn’t Al Capps wonderful and insightful? Thanks for that great montage.
Lil’ Abner was SO very good – it’s proven topical, even decades later.
“Mallard Fillmore” is the ONLY cartoon heir I can truly think of, today.
