Hanoi Jane Rides Again

You’ve gotta hand it to ’em–leftists are the most accomplished and prolific liars on the planet. Take Hanoi Jane Fonda, for example–and I wish you would.  Miffed by QVC’s cancellation of her appearance promoting her latest money-making venture, a tome on aging, which she modestly claims “can help make life better, easier and more fulfilling”, Ms. Fonda blames her entrepreneurial misfortune on “insane pressure by some well funded and organized political extremist groups”–groups which apparently exist only in the Brain of Jane–and, incredibly, goes on to say (emphasis mine),

“Bottom line, this has gone on far too long, this spreading of lies about me! None of it is true. NONE OF IT! I love my country. I have never done anything to hurt my country or the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for us. I do not understand what the far right stands to gain by continuing with these myths.”

Myth?  Ah, Janie, a picture speaks a thousand words, does it not? No, Persephone, daughter of Zeus, wife of Hades, & Queen of the Underworld is a myth.  Jane Fonda, daughter of Henry, Queen of the Beverly Hills ‘progressives’, and one-time betrayer of American servicemen is all too real.  From 3rd Marines In Vietnam:

Jane Fonda toured North Vietnam in 1972, during which she cozied up to the enemy, posing for photo ops with communist troops and broadcasting anti-American propaganda over Radio Hanoi. Jane Fonda also participated in a staged press conference with American servicemen held captive by the Viet Cong, the purpose of which was to “prove” that the POWs were not being mistreated by their captors. Years later when the released POWs described the very real torture and degradation they suffered at the hands of the North Vietnamese, Fonda called them “hypocrites and liars.”  Fonda’s behavior at that time, considered treasonous by some, earned her the nickname “Hanoi Jane” among the veterans and POWs of the Vietnam War, some of whom hate her to this day…

Hanoi Jane Fonda is one of the Enemies Within. As I’ve said before, in the humble opinion of this Vietnam vet, Jane Fonda should have been tried for treason, and I’ll continue to feel that way until the day they drop me in my grave.  (See The Transformer for info on the honoring of Hanoi Jane Fonda and Hanoi John Kerry by the Vietnamese communists)

  1. Leftards have excellent memories; but they last no more than a microsecond. Who me? Bitch! (Is it okay if I say that?)

  2. Bob Mack says:

I was tempted to say a lot worse…

  3. Ike Jakson says:

Jane Fonda ““can help make life better, easier and more fulfilling,” for everyone if she would just glide off into the sunset never to be seen or heard again.

  4. LD Jackson says:

I think denial must be a contagious disease. With the proof we have of her actions, how she can continue to deny it didn’t happen is beyond me.

  5. such a bitch……….

  6. Grumpyelder says:

I think I’ll just second Ike Jackson’s motion. I went for decades almost never hearing her name, I could have gone on for decades more, and been happy.

  7. Early Alzheimer’s?

Did you see Fonda’s views on religion? Just as nutty as her version of her years of Vietnam “activism.”

  8. Check out one of the tee-shirts Fonda is selling at her web site. The raised fist of Communism.

  9. Believe me, if her “product” was doing well, she would still be on QVC. There is no conservative lobby that knock her off if her “product” was selling. AOW, rather than early Alzheimer’s, I think it is a case of early child dishonesty that moved with into adulthood and still manifests.

I’ve heard there are plenty in Hollywood that can’t stand to be around her. That’s saying something.

I think she wanted to be Bernardine Dohrn. Thanks for the story Bob. It is always good to be reminded.

  10. AFVET says:

Bob, you and I both served during the time she was spewing her communistic rhetoric.
I agree with the above string of comments, she is aging and grasping at any attention she can get.
Narcissism is a rampant disease that infects the elitists.
Some aging Hollyweird types go away quietly. Some make fools of themselves.
She appears to be among the latter.

  11. Freedom, by the way says:

I have never and would never buy whatever she’s selling. Obviously, enough folks feel the same.

Isn’t it a shame that so many Hollywood types that have really been blessed with talent & by God to prosper with that talent wind up being such smucks when they share their opinions that most of the public that helped them prosper really don’t care to hear? Let’s name a few: Jane Fonda, Shirley McClaine, Sean Penn, Barbara Streisand, George Clooney…

    • AFVET says:

Remember Bob Hopes’ USO tours ?
He would never have allowed an individual like insane Jane to ever step foot near his troop of entertainers.
Yeah, I’ll say it here, she is nothing more than a whore to this country, along with many others that entice us to watch their movies and TV shows.

    • Bob Mack says:

Then there’s Ed Asner, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin, Rosie O’Donnell, and let’s not forget the Whoopster & Joyless Behar. Of course, none of them actually sat behind an anti-aircraft gun that was aimed at American flyers.

    From Michelle Malkin:

“President Barack Obama’s latest fundraising report resembles an A-list of Hollywood stars, with donations from some of the top celebrities in the entertainment industry.

Among the more than 550,000 donors to the president’s 2012 reelection bid were big-name movie stars including actors George Clooney, Michael Douglas, Sharon Stone, Michael Keaton, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson. Filmmaker Steven Spielberg and his wife, actress Kate Capshaw, also gave to the 2012 campaign, according to the latest Federal Election Commission report. Jennifer Garner and Gwyneth Paltrow both contributed under their married names —Affleck and Martin, respectively.

“30 Rock” actor Alec Baldwin, who has often toyed with a potential political run, also shelled out cash for Obama’s second-quarter fundraising haul. And several other TV actors — such as “Monk”’s Tony Shalhoub, “Glee”’s Jane Lynch, “24”’s president Dennis Haysbert and sci-fi stars Scott Bakula and Richard Dean Anderson — joined Baldwin in contributing to the president’s reelection bid.”

Obama contributors also include Carl Reiner, Will Ferrell, Anthony Edwards and, no kidding, the guy who portrays grapes in Fruit of the Loom commercials. There’s a joke in there that I decline to make because it’s Sunday.

I still have to give a Hat Tip to QVC. They stepped up when most would not, and could have rode it out instead of the dust up.

  14. Linda says:

I’m not a member of a group, organization or whatever. No one orchestrated my response. I just saw the ad in the e-mail they sent me and on Thursday, July 14th, I figured out Mike George’s (President of QVC) e-mail address at work and sent this message to him:

    “Mr. George,

“You’re actually having “Hanoi” Jane Fonda on your channel, selling whatever on QVC? Really? A traitor to America, someone who betrayed the soldiers over there fighting under our government’s orders and risking their lives in obedience to the American President? Really? “Hanoi Jane”? Strange choice.”

    and received this reply:

    “From: Amy Trice
“To: myemail@myemail.privacy — (Not my real e-mail address)
    “Sent: Friday, July 15, 2011 3:03 PM
    “Subject: FW: Really?

    “Hello Ms. McKinney,

“Mike George asked me to contact you and let you know he received your email. I tried calling the phone number that is on your account (321-*&^$#%) but wasn’t able to leave a complete message with my call back number. Is [t]here a better number to reach you Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm Eastern Time?

    “Best Regards,
    “Amy Trice

I kid you not. I’ll keep you informed as to what happens next.

  15. I am a private “caregiver” for a senior lady who was married to a high ranking military Dr who served in Nam. I was just a few years to young, but I remember vividly seeing the photos of her and asking my parents what the heck she thought she was doing. This lady and I happened to have a discussion about this just a few days ago … how vivid that memory is still for me as an impressionable 6th grader! I have never been able to stand the sight of her since … or, of course, watch any of her films. I don’t know why she was never tried as a traitor … but then many Americans were misled in those days and behaved like traitors.

I don’t think I’ve said it yet to you, but … I’m so sorry for the way you all were received when you returned “home,” but … THANK YOU!

    • Bob Mack says:

Thanks, BARB. In those days, coming home was its own reward. One day you were in-country; the next you were back in the ‘world’, thinking “What the hell just happened?”

  16. Once a traitor, always a traitor no matter how she and her leftist pals spin it. All Veterans should be treated the same no matter which war they fough in, whether you agree or disagree with the conflict. We should thank them all for defending this Country, even protecting a traitor like Jane.

    • Bob Mack says:

She can’t spin the photographic evidence, though, despite her lament that it’s all the doing of some nefarious ‘far-right’ cabal–like the VFW. Thanks for stopping by, BLAINE, & for supporting the troops.

  17. Righthook38 says:

Didn’t she claim to have changed several years ago, when she supposedly found Jesus? I’m assuming that was never really the case. Another way of getting attention, most likely??

I have no use for her whatsoever….

  18. Bob Mack says:

  20. roblorinov says:

She was obviously born a traitor, has always been a traitor, and will always be a traitor! Liberalism is obviously a mental illness as in Hanoi Jane’s case she is forgetful and has not connection to reality what so ever. Ha! And to think I like her father’s talent 😦
