The Blame Game

Two from today’s E-mail:

The Washington Post babbled again today about Obama inheriting a huge deficit from Bush.  Amazingly enough, a lot of people swallow this BULLCRAP.

So once more, a short civics lesson.

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party.

Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for FY 2008 and FY 2009 as well as FY 2010 and FY 2011.

In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.

For FY 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the FY 2009 budgets.

And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete FY 2009. Let’s remember what the deficits looked like during that period: (below)

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the FY 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.

If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.

In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is

I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.

So, one can conclude with mathematical certainty, that while Hard work and Knowledge will get you close, and Attitude will get you there, its the Bullshit and Ass Kissing that will put you over the top.

Now you know why some people are where they are!

    How many American voters are clueless on how our Government works? Long gone are the days when Civics was a required course in High School. I dread the thought of anyone taking a survey on this particular knowledge base.

      Watching Leno last night … a girl had no idea what WWII stood for, but knew what WWW meant. I assume she’s a registered voter in the state of California.

  3. It’s amazing how many people still buy into this guy’s hogwash! I never let my kids put the blame off on their siblings, but I guess he never learned that lesson, eh? I just don’t get why so many still worship at his BS-throne

    Marxists never accept blame for anything. They are forever trying to appear perfect as they present their idea of utopia as perfect. However, no one Marxist state has ever achieved this so called “utopia.” In fact they have all accomplished just the opposite…hell on earth!

    Glad to see someone present the facts and confront BO’s blame game bullshit! HE is the problem! If he wishes to blame anyone then he needs to be blaming himself as he was part of the Congress who caused the deficit problems.

    Why do some continue to believe his crap? Because the media spins it to make him appear all knowing and innocent. They refuse to report that FACTS about him! And you know, many believe everything they see on the idiot tube. 🙂

    If you still have a toothache, try packing around it with ground clove. It does work, even if a little.
    Also in your gift shop – just a suggestion: add a tote bag. Ladies like those.

      Good idea about the tote bag, ROXY. I’ll have one in there by the weekend. For the tooth, I’ve been thru all the remedies–got a prescription today for a decent pain killer at last. The dentist isn’t sure whether I need a root canal under an old crown or whether the pain’s from an impacted wisdom tooth, so I gotta go see a specialist. Ya know, I ripped up an ankle during a parachute jump years ago, so bad that my foot was on backwards & it didn’t hurt as much as this damn tooth…

        Oh man, let me tell you – I know exactly what you mean about the pain! I had 2 children, natural childbirth and it didn’t compare to the last toothache and impaction I had. That has to be the worst pain there is -well some of the worst, anyway. I hope they didn’t give you percocet for the pain, though. It’s really not the drug of choice for dental pain. I learned that lesson, too.

        Well, I’m a bossy and nosy nurse, so don’t mind me and all my “advice” LOL

          Any & all toothache advice is gratefully accepted, ROXY. I’m loaded up on Vicodin right now. As I discovered after my parachute mishap, morphine & most of its derivatives don’t really have much effect on me. They gave me enough to knock out a horse, & I didn’t feel a thing except my ankle screaming for something else. My old granny was the same way. I had to use Tylenol with codeine for a month. The Vicodin is working well right now, I might even get some sleep tonight!
