“It’s desperation time for warmists. Space alien attacks, hurricane tracks, earthquakes – the list of events tied to global warming recently has been staggeringly stupid.”
—Rick Moran via American Thinker
…and none more so than those advanced by that staggeringly stupid charlatan, that prophet of the preposterous, that emperor of eyewash, the baron of baloney himself, Al Gore. Just when I’d thought I’d seen the last big wind for awhile, Big Al blows in, leaving his astonishingly gigantic carbon footprint on the same landscape upon which he cautions global warming skeptics not to tread, dispensing vulgarity and calumny at all and sundry who dare to disagree with his calamitous (and suspect) conclusions regarding the state of the planet. But as is customary among the elitists, there is one set of inviolable rules for the peons and quite another for intractable Viridians like Algore and his chums of the left-wing praetorium:
Gore is not unlike the rest of the Gulfstream liberals, while preaching carbon neutrality his own impact on their Earth’s environment isn’t a footprint, well, it’s more like a crater. The double standard is so thick you can cut it like the ozone layer. You see, for Al Gore, sometimes the truth can be inconvenient.
Like all good liberals when confronted by facts that inconveniently threaten their inane paradigms, Algore invariably and inevitably retreats into name-calling:
- “They pay pseudo-scientists to pretend to be scientists to put out the message: ‘This climate thing, it’s nonsense. Man-made CO2 doesn’t trap heat. It may be volcanoes.’ Bullshit! ‘It may be sun spots.’ Bullshit! ‘It’s not getting warmer.’ Bullshit!”
- The former vice president recalled how society succeeded in marginalizing racists and said climate change skeptics must be defeated in the same manner: “I think it’s the same where the moral component is concerned and where the facts are concerned I think it is important to get that out there, absolutely.”
Professor Mojib Latif, ‘pseudo-scientist’ and ‘racist’ affiliated with the Liebnitz Institute at Kiel University in Germany, an author of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, begs to differ with our inestimable former vice-President. Professor Latif
has developed new methods for measuring ocean temperatures 3,000ft beneath the surface, where the cooling and warming cycles start.
He and his colleagues predicted the new cooling trend in a paper published in 2008 and warned of it again at an IPCC conference in Geneva last September.
Last night he told The Mail on Sunday: ‘A significant share of the warming we saw from 1980 to 2000 and at earlier periods in the 20th Century was due to these cycles – perhaps as much as 50 per cent.
‘They have now gone into reverse, so winters like this one will become much more likely. Summers will also probably be cooler, and all this may well last two decades or longer.
‘The extreme retreats that we have seen in glaciers and sea ice will come to a halt. For the time being, global warming has paused, and there may well be some cooling.’
There is no question that the earth’s climate changes, of course—God knows, it’s been happening since the Very Beginning. But the question of man as the agent provocateur is far, far from ‘settled science’ despite what Luddites like Algore would like you to believe. And global warming? Well,
According to the US National Snow and Ice Data Centre in Colorado, Arctic summer sea ice has increased by 409,000 square miles, or 26 per cent, since 2007 – and even the most committed global warming activists do not dispute this. (The mini ice age starts here – David Rose, The MailOnline)
