Nobody For President!

Last year, I offered a post describing the candidate that most Americans would apparently like to see elected.  As the 2012 campaign season gets underway, a re-blog seems appropriate:

Mike Metroulas authored a piece on Big Government yesterday titled What Exactly Are The Qualifications For Being President? There seems to be only one–can enough suckers be bamboozled into actually voting for this rascal?  At any event, Mike’s article piqued my interest.  What, I wondered, would constitute the perfect modern President? Using 40 years of data, I have constructed the following composite.  This is the candidate Americans would most like to see in office–Nobody:

  • An absent-minded, clumsy, whiny, oversexed, draft-dodging, conservative socialist cowboy with large teeth, good hair, and five o’clock shadow. A former aviator and submariner with no military experience; a Rhodes scholar and football playing community organizer who once acted for peanuts and never worked in the private sector. He is an upper class good old boy from the West Coast of Indonesia who grew up poor except for a silver spoon in his mouth. He is a secular, God-fearing, chain-smoking, happily married ex-drinker with an eye for the ladies and lust in his heart. He believes in free enterprise, wage and price controls, and redistribution of wealth.

Nobody is perfect! Nobody speaks for You! Nobody will tell the truth! Nobody keeps his promises!  Nobody will stop the spending! Nobody will protect and preserve the Constitution of the United States!

Nobody deserves your support, and Nobody will thank you for it.

In all honesty I don’t see one person I want to vote for in 2012. Romney is just another Obama so what’s the difference? Maybe I’ll just vote for the local dog catcher LOL.

Sure is a bit grim. But let us not give up. We have the Supreme Court up for grabs. I will take a chance with anyone else but Obama for the picks. We will have to close our nose,

  4. Right now, I’m reading the book In the President’s Secret Service. We surely have had some real rascals in the White House!

ABO is how I’m going to end up voting in November 2012, but I don’t think I’m going to be happy with the GOP candidate. Not at all. 😦

None of the above … who would have thought that the American political complexion could actually come to this?

    • Bob Mack says:

Actually, FRED, I suspected it back when McGovern ran against Nixon. If those two were the best the country had to offer, we were in trouble. And it’s only gotten worse.

  6. idk …I have too much passion to just throw it away. True, NONE is perfect, if only because we couldn’t see their perfection if it existed! Ha! AND, of course, we rely heavily on the media to explain and evaluate who each one is and what their policies and plans are, so … um … What we have to do, all we CAN do is pick the one who best aligns with our beliefs, our wishes, then get busy and work for that to come to pass. I’m just idealistic enough to believe it is still possible, if all, at least some! 🙂 Santorum is my man! 😉

    • Bob Mack says:

Ah, I hope it’s possible, BARB. Personally, I haven’t trusted a politician since Vietnam. No one’s perfect, it’s true, especially the ones with the ‘D’ after their names.

      • AFVET says:

I agree with you Bob, I don’t trust any politician either.
Our main goal in the 2010 election should be to swing the majority in the Senate over to the republicans, and hold the house.
If that is not accomplished and a republican president is elected, Harry Reid will kneecap any attempt to overrun Obama’s policies.
If it does happen, and Obama gets back in, the congress can impeach him.
It is going to be an interesting year, one of the most important in our lifetimes.
We need to have somebody running against Obama that will not stand down from the attack that they are going to get from the Chicago attack dogs.
I’m not sure who that is yet, although, Gingrich has the ability to play dirty, I just don’t know is he has the money.
        Romney and Santorum, who knows.
Hope they know who they’re up against !
Obama’s tactics in the past have gone way beyond illegal.
