I Know Why The Caged Bird Squawks

“[Obama] has started the war against our liberties not because of any crisis, but because he can. That is tyranny. It is a rupturing of the American conception of sovereignty, in which the president is our servant, not our ruler. It cannot stand. —Andrew McCarthy (via The Rising Fever of Despotism|The American Thinker)

“I think we are going to see a number of people who say: ‘I have no racial prejudice in my heart, not in my conversation.’ But in the next few months, as we wind up to the double campaign, I tell you we are going to see some nastiness, some vulgarity, I think. They’ll pull the sheets off.” —Maya Angelou  (‘Barack Obama has done a remarkable job’ | The Guardian)

It’s always racism to squawking old crows like Maya Angelou, the self-appointed spokesperson for all those birds too blinkered to notice that the doors to their cages have been open for nearly fifty years.  After all, what other reason but that of race could there be for opposing a flaming Marxist Chief Executive whose three year record of undermining America at home and abroad is unparalleled in the nation’s history?  Spread those broken wings and learn to fly, lady.

Samuel L. Jackson Wants Obama to “Get Scary” | BET:

In a new interview with Ebony magazine, hugely famous African-American actor Samuel L. Jackson has admitted to voting based on race in the 2008 election. “I voted for Barack because he was black,” he said. “’Cause that’s why other folks vote for other people — because they look like them.”

Wrong, Sammy.  That’s the way shallow racists vote.  Most folks—even, God help us, the useful idiots of the Left—reserve their ballots for the candidate they believe will be best for the country.  Unfortunately, 69 million of ’em were grievously mistaken a few years back.

  1. Do you believe this would be dictator is polliing at a 50% approval rating? What is wrong with people? Are they so blind they can not see what is happening to our country? Are people really buying that snake oil he is selling?

Adolf Hitler and David Duke, as well as Abraham Lincoln, expressed racism. S.L. Jackson expresses bigotry. They are not interchangeable, but both are likely to be harbored concurrently. All of that to say this: …Let’s identify those people for what they clearly reveal.
The delima we are currently facing may be described as a driver continuously running stop signs at 70 mph until a bicycle rider is killed. There is a law that declares the driver is operating illegally. There are law inforcement officers whose responsibility it is to stop the driver. There are attorneys and courts to indict and convict……..The bike rider is our republic……We know the name of the driver….The law is the Constitution….Who are the law enforcement officers?….Who are those who are supposed to indict?….Who is supposed to convict?….The latter three are frozen by the fear of charges of bigotry.

Are you aware that Obama was issued a subpoena by a Georgia court to prove his eligibility to appear on the Georgia ballot ?
http://www.wnd.com has been pursuing this for some time.
The judge that initially heard the case was probably intimidated by the regime, and essentially dismissed it. But now, it has been elevated to a higher court.
The Obama regime lawyers ignored the subpoena, much like the DOJ is doing to Darrell Issa’s efforts to investigate ‘Fast and Furious’.

WND has a new post out this morning with new information concerning the case.
It is not going to go away.
Georgia is not alone in questioning his eligibility, several other states are doing the same.
Sheriff Joe’s ‘Cold Case Posse’ is also running a trail on Obama.
His efforts are due out shortly.

      AFVET, check this out:

The Georgia Superior Court tried to pull a fast one. They initially refused to file our Petition for Appeal. They claimed that our papers lacked two dollars for the two motions that were included along with our petition. We DID include the $213.50 filing fee for the petition, but they were going to sit on our documents and not file any of them, in part because of the missing $2.

The Superior Court’s clerk’s office made several other excuses as to why our petition couldn’t be filed. I won’t bore you with the details. Suffice to say they tried several excuses, none of which reflect normal operating procedures for any court I’ve heard of. Each time I explained why their reason didn’t make any sense under the law or court rules, they moved on to another excuse. After being transferred, placed on hold, hung up on, and argued with, they finally agreed to file the petition, but still refused to file the motions until they got their $2. In my experience as an attorney, including being temporarily admitted in 4 states outside Tennessee, and admitted to practice at every level of Federal and State courts, this is unheard of.

To top off our little story, the Georgia Superior Court didn’t contact our office to tell us that there was a problem with our filing. They just sat on our petition and emergency motion. Had we not called to verify that our petition was filed we would have missed tomorrow’s filing deadline. (This is why we call to verify filings.) The $2 was personally delivered today and the emergency motions are now filed.

One of those motions is an Emergency Motion for Stay and Preliminary Injunction prohibiting the Georgia Secretary of State from including candidate Barack Obama on the Georgia Presidential Primary ballot. Read the filing on our website. Quoting from the motion,

“should this Court incorrectly deny this motion it would confirm that the judicial branch is now unwilling to enforce the clearest and most basic requirements of the U.S. Constitution. Harm to Petitioner that would result from such incorrect refusal to grant this motion represents nothing less than the loss of our constitutional form of government for all Americans.”

I intend to keep an eye on this issue.
God Bless the Internet, ….nothing of this has been even been inferred on talk radio.
Possibly because the judicial process is being obstructed, and there has been no ruling on the case.

Moore Singles Out African American on House Panel as ‘Token Man’

Filmmaker Michael Moore tweeted Friday a somewhat insensitive racial remark concerning an African American man serving on a House panel debating the WH contraception rule.

Moore singles out Craig Mitchell, an Associate Professor of Ethics for Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, as a quote “Token Man”

The term “Token” has been often used by folks on the left to disparage prominent black conservatives in the spotlight, the last example being Bill Maher calling Herman Cain a “Token Black Guy.”

Ah, but Moore & his ilk aren’t racists … no, no, no. They’re progressives.

  7. I am so sick of the race card being tossed into play that I want to go live under a rock!

Of course, it’s fine and dandy for Obama to post on his re-election site “African Americans should vote for Obama” (or some such).

Just imagine the outcry if a white man said, “White Americans should vote for me.”

  8. BTW, Maya Angelou has been deified by the public school system. What she says carries a lot of weight with a lot of people. **sigh**

    • Bob Mack says:

She’s a third-rate writer elevated to celebrity status in the ’60s by guilt-tripping liberals. Examples of her twaddle:

“I remember never believing that whites were really real.”

“I rather you have a good mind than a cute behind.”

“One more woman ambushed and raped. A Black boy whipped and maimed… a white woman slapping her maid for being forgetful.”

“We are the victims of the world’s most comprehensive robbery. Life demands a balance. It’s all right if we do a little robbing now.”

“How maddening it was to have been born in a cotton field with aspirations of grandeur.”

I can admire good writing even if I disagree with the writer. Unfortunately, Ms. Angelou is incapable of producing the former and doesn’t belong in the category of the latter.
