“Everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night.” —Rainer Maria Rilke
Spring is sprung, the grass is ris’, and we know where the Redbirds is. It’s hard to tell, though, if that April shrieking of which Rilke spoke comes from the riotous revolutionaries ready to once again despoil the country’s streets, or from the 99% of us that are sick of the sight of ’em :
They’re baaack… the American Bolsheviks. Can’t you just feel the violence in the spring air? Communism in bloom – just look at the list of them above. What the Big Red One never mentions is that the U.S. already has the highest corporate tax rate in the increasingly uncivilized world. That, of course, is not enough to satisfy either the ravenous vultures in the Democratic Party or the jackals behind the Occupy movement, all of who would prefer the flesh picked from the bones of private citizens as well.
“Democracy,” said Karl Marx, “is the road to socialism.” And socialism is a dead-end street.
