Only His Imam Knows For Sure

According to a recent Gallup poll, 11% of Americans think Barack Obama is a Muslim — in contrast, I suppose, to the other 89% who know he’s a Marxist.  The punditocracy claims to be baffled by this.  As Pamela Geller writes:

[…] the leftist media just can’t figure out why anyone would get that idea. Slate concluded that it must be because of “his exotic name and background, the color of his skin, or (most likely) some combination of the two.” But in reality, the reason why people think Obama is a Muslim is because of how he acts.

She’s right, of course. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, you know it ain’t no cow — no matter how full of bull it happens to be. Take, for example, Obama’s April trip to Dearborn, Michigan:

On April 18, 2012, President Barack Obama made a point to stop and speak in Dearborn.  When he greeted the crowd, he emphasized his middle name Hussein to the crowd who cheered when he did.

It was obvious that he was playing his name to the largely Muslim crowd in Dearborn.  He deliberately emphasized his name, common in Muslim circles, in such a way as to tell the crowd that he was one of them.   This is what he said:

“Ladies and Gentlemen it’s good to be in Dearborn.  It is good to be back in the Motor City…I see a lot of folks here who worked tirelessly on my 2008 campaign.  Let’s face it.  You did not do it because you thought this was going to be a cakewalk.  When you decide to support a candidate named Barack HUSSEIN Obama you know the odds are not exactly in your favor…”  (Obama Touts Middle Name to Muslims In Michigan |Godfather Politics)

But Obama’s name game isn’t particularly dangerous. His policies, on the other hand, are — and they reveal just where this man’s sympathies lie:

… The Muslim Brotherhood knows how Westerners think. They are playing us for fools. If we believe what has happened in Egypt and the upheavals in the rest of the Mideast will lead to democracy, human rights, equal rights for women and religious minorities, freedom of speech and press, then we are fools.

These fanatics do not intend to stop with Israel. Their ultimate target is America, by elections and/or other means.

During the campaign, [Egyptian President]Mr. Morsi told supporters: “Jihad is our path, and death for the sake of Allah is our most lofty aspiration.”

The Muslim Brotherhood was mentored by Adolf Hitler, who knew it was easier to mount a coup from inside. The Nazis got inside the German government via the ballot box. But Hitler believed in one man, one vote — one time.

“The Muslim Brotherhood has not changed; only Western opinion of it has,” Middle East expert Raymond Ibrahim believes.

… If our feckless leaders keep facilitating the spread of radical Islam, “looking silly” will be the least of the consequences.

Egyptian Democracy: New President Vows to Free Blind Sheik (Aina)

In his first public speech after being elected president of Egypt, that country’s Muslim Brotherhood President Mohamed Morsi vowed to work to free Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, the mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center jihad bombing. In doing so, he revealed the catastrophic consequences of Barack Obama’s warm endorsement of the “Arab Spring,” which (contrary to persistent Leftist media myth) is about as much of a “democracy movement” as was Adolf Hitler’s becoming Chancellor of Germany on January 30, 1933.

Left-wing luminaries like John Kerry, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, urge that we not “pre-judge” the Muslim Brotherhood — though Kerry, if you’ll remember, similarly argued 40 years ago that we not pre-judge the Viet Cong.  Swifty John, of course, refused to practice such restraint himself when it came to slandering the G.I.’s with whom he briefly served. But then, they were not the enemies of the United States.
