Duck You, Mr. President

The Duckmen“You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest … they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion…” — Barack Obama

“I talk to people all the time who say, ‘You believe in the resurrection of the dead?’ Well sure I do. I see it all the time. And they say, ‘You’re a weirdo.’ And I say, I may be, but let me tell you, I see resurrections every spring.” — Si Robertson

Just a hunch, but it’s probably accurate to assume that Barack Obama was not among the 11 million+ “bitter clingers” that watched the Season 4 premiere of AMC’s “Duck Dynasty.”  After all, this is a show that celebrates faith, family, and firearms. It’s also the highest rated offering in the history of cable television — a fact that must have the heathens and homosexuals along the Potomac wringing their limp progressive wrists in disbelief.  But there’s nothing bitter about “Duck Dynasty” or its multitude of fans.  Their values are still America’s values.  They’re just not Washington’s.

Barack Obama is actually the “bitter clinger.” He is the one clinging to the history of Socialist/Fascist/Communist murdering failures. Clinging bitterly to failures is a hallmark of tyrants. Free people with reason and logic move beyond failures and learn from them. Barack Obama doesn’t understand that concept. He is locked into a time warp, trained by his family and Frank Marshall Davis. He is surrounded by the failures from the 1960′s who hid themselves from the public for decades while they infiltrated universities, non-profits, and media. He is skilled at finger pointing and name calling, usually blaming others for what he does or would like to do. We are witnessing a psychopathic, manipulating sociopath in action, no different than those historic tyrannical figures we have seen since Rousseau and Marx. You can’t do the things that Obama is doing unless you are a psychopathic manipulator. Success to him is cowing you down, using media (or anyone, including children) as tools to make you look foolish, using government as a weapon against you. I LOVE this show! Started watching it in its third season, but my husband and I will watch the first 2 seasons on iTunes.

Went out to dinner with some former work friends (of my husband) the other night, and when I enthusiastically shared how good, funny, and cemented in faith this Duck Dynasty family reality show is, I got some blank faces. They weren’t even impressed with the 11.8 million viewers of the new episode! One friend said that he saw it once and decided “it wasn’t for him.” Another friend’s wife said that all that her husband watches is sports. When I stated that no matter how the episode goes, they always come back to the dinner table with a prayer expressing love for God and family. Still, blank stares. My husband abruptly changed the subject.

It had been a long time since I was out to dinner with non-Christians. But I could see the contempt in their eyes because I brought up “the God thing” at the table. I think it’s so sad. They don’t know what they are missing in NOT knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!
