Shake, Rattle, And Prole …

Shake Hands With The Devil“Raúl, that affectionate and familiarly warm young man described by his sister Juanita and who as a child dreamed about becoming a radio announcer, turned into two unexpected beings under Fidel’s influence. He became an efficient butcher, a lot better organized than his brother, and an apprentice communist.” — Carlos Alberto Montaner

Barack Obama went to a funeral and managed to upstage the deceased.  Not an easy task when the departed, “Madiba” Mandela, was a socialist hero whom the international Left was busily sending off with all the fanfare of an Egyptian pharaoh.  But our Barry did it with a simple shake of his hand. The startled recipient of the fraternal grip was Raúl Castro, president of communist Cuba, and former executioner for brother Fidel.  Predictably, the liberal media swooned. Shrieked CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, “Castro! He’s shaking hands with Raul Castro!”  Said former Clinton henchman Paul Begala, “I believe Obama shook Raul Castro’s hand … because he knows he’s on the right side of history.”

The “right side of history” indeed. Said Charlie Spiering of the hand clasping duo, “One’s a communist who’s reduced his country to ruins, the other’s Raul Castro.”

“Sometimes a handshake is just a handshake, but when the leader of the free world shakes the bloody hand of a ruthless dictator like Raul Castro, it becomes a propaganda coup for the tyrant,” said Florida Republican Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, who fled Cuba with her family when she was a child. “It is nauseating.”

Obama has other affinities with the Castros.  At least with the eldest.  Carlos Alberto Montaner, former resident in the Cuban gulags: “To Fidel, a good narcissist, the function of every human being is to serve him on his road to glory.”

Well, nobody’s a bigger narcissist than Barry, last seen snapping a “selfie” during the Mandela funerary proceedings.  A picture’s worth a thousand words, so they say, and in his world, they all spell “O-B-A-M-A,”

  2. Was Michelle Obama furious about that selfie?

I really don’t care that Obama shook the hand of Raul Castro. What I cannot abide is Jimmy Peanut’s statement about the handshake.

Why is it that liberals and Leftists swoon over everything that Obama does? Oh, never mind.
