“I cannot tell you definitively that we will ever narrow it down to one motivation. People often act out of more than one motivation. This was clearly an act of terror and an act of hate. So we will look at all motivations, and hopefully come to a conclusion there.” — Loretta Lynch’s professed mystification over the motives of Orlando jihadist Omar Mateen (Deep thoughts with Loretta Lynch)
This, of course, is a prime example of the kind of crackerjack investigating that is the trademark of Barack Obama’s pinko Pinkertons, wherein all firearm-related deaths in the United States are attributable to the nefarious machinations of the Republican party and the National Rifle Association, while mass slaughter committed by murderous Mohammedans is never inspired by the doctrines of radical Islam. And if proving the latter means that transcripts of phone calls made by braggadocious jihadi assassins must be thoroughly redacted by the diversicrats at the Department of (In)Justice, then so be it.
U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch revealed Sunday that the government will release the transcripts of the 911 calls made by the Orlando terrorist during the attack last Sunday — scrubbed of any references to Islam or the Islamic State (ISIS). (Loretta Lynch: ‘Islam,’ ‘ISIS’ to be Scrubbed from Orlando 911 Tapes)
See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil, right, Loretta? At least in regards to the practitioners of Islam.
Attorney General Loretta Lynch, speaking at the Muslim Advocate’s 10th anniversary dinner, shockingly refused to focus on the Muslim community after the terrorist attacks committed by Muslims in San Bernardino and Paris, instead. She reassured her audience, “We stand with you in this.”
In another astonishing moment, Lynch said that since the Paris attacks, her greatest concern has been the “incredibly disturbing rise of anti-Muslim rhetoric … that fear is my greatest fear.” One hundred thirty people were massacred by Muslim terrorists in Paris last month, added to the 17 killed in the Charlie Hebdo and kosher supermarket attacks in Paris, plus the 14 slaughtered in San Bernardino, the 13 soldiers murdered at Fort Hood, and the four Marines killed in Chattanooga. Lynch would not say how many Muslims have been killed in the United States because of backlash. (Loretta Lynch Says to Muslims ‘We Stand with You in This’)
And we thought ex-60s radical Eric Holder was as bad as an AG could get.
Surprisingly, in an era in which everything from peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to the weather has been labeled as racist, Loretta has been given a pass for not jettisoning a surname that would normally be patently offensive to all perpetually outraged “progressives”. Imagine the outrage from the pecksniffs at the New York Times or the Democratic National Committee had a Republican president dared to nominate as the country’s top cop a lawyer named “Lynch”. But, since the only neck-stretching this woman intends is of law abiding American gun owners, her ironic nomenclature is ignored.
For all those who revel in the fact that there are 374 days until President Obama finally gets the hell out of the White House, a cautionary note: Obama and his colleagues are rigging the bureaucracy so that their unique brand of “hope and change” extends far beyond their tenure.
The latest evidence: Attorney General Loretta Lynch told New York Magazine this week, “My goal is to position the [Department of Justice] where it will carry on in all of these issues long after myself and my team have moved on.” She was responding specifically to questions about how she planned to prosecute gun sellers under Obama’s new executive actions. (Loretta Lynch: We’ll Position DOJ to Do Obama’s Work ‘Long After’ We’re Gone)
Meanwhile, Loretta is busy spreading the love — to jihadis, at any event:
U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch told a grieving Florida crowd the Obama administration was standing by the LGBT community in the face of the Orlando terror attacks that killed 49 and injured 53 … “The most effective response to terror and hatred is compassion, unity and love.” Lynch also vowed President Obama and his administration would not turn a blind eye to the rights of the LGBT community, but underscored the peaceful side of Islam. “We stand with you today as we grieve together,” she said. “And long after the cameras are gone, we will continue to stand with you as we grow together, in commitment, in solidarity and in equality.” (Loretta Lynch calls for ‘love’ in aftermath of Orlando massacre)
Ah, there’s those words again: “Solidarity” and “Equality” … the overused mantras of aspiring communists everywhere. But a professed solidarity by the Obama administration with the victims of radical Islam is not quite as revealing as is its actual solidarity with their victimizers:
Top Justice Department officials, including Attorney General Loretta Lynch, have worked with an organization dedicated to interfering with law enforcement efforts to monitor activities at the most radical mosques. Lynch and DOJ Civil Rights Division head Vanita Gupta have appeared at gala events for an organization called Muslim Advocates. The George Soros-funded charity has badgered the New York City Police Department away from monitoring the most radical mosques in the city. The organization is also responsible for rewriting training materials for federal law enforcement to decouple the role of radical Islam from terrorist acts. An inter-agency working group comprised of multiple federal law enforcement agencies in 2014 adopted this whitewash urged by Muslim Advocates. (Do Loretta Lynch’s Ties with ‘Muslim Advocates’ Org Explain Her Whitewash of Orlando?)
As Andrew McCarthy points out,
Barack Obama has spent his presidency cultivating Islamists, particularly from the international Muslim Brotherhood and its affiliates in the United States. As we saw this week, he chafes at the term “radical Islam” — as do his Islamist advisers. At their insistence, he had instructional materials for training government agents purged of references to Islamic terms that illuminate the nexus between Muslim doctrine and jihadist terror … These steps have been reckless. They have made our nation more vulnerable to the kind of jihadist atrocities we saw last weekend in Orlando. So obvious is this that many Obama critics have gone from thinking the unthinkable to saying it aloud: The president of the United States seems to be intentionally betraying our national security… (Obama: Anti-Anti-Terrorist)
