“Diversity” Days, and Drag Queens — Obama’s Army Minces ‘Forward’

Who's Yer DaddyFor a guy named “Dempsey,” the man heading up the Joint Chiefs of Staff doesn’t seem to throw many punches.  In fact, General Martin Dempsey seems to spend most of his time being pummeled around the Beltway by Barry Obama, a powder-puff civilian with nothing but a straight left.

Pugilistic analogies aside, Dempsey is Obama’s handpicked choice to facilitate the transformation of the United States military into the kind of feminized, homosexualized combat force of which Marxists and community organizers from Chicago can be proud.  Tomorrow’s military, what’s left of it after Barry’s budget sequestration and Marty’s shredding of tradition and esprit de corps, will be a place where manly women, womanly men, and the non-gender-specific diverse can build rewarding careers doing the bidding of Democrats.  Whether or not it will be able to fight is a different matter altogether.

Thank God They Didn’t Retreat in 1944/Newsmax

[…] Obama’s former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta — known more for his eagerness to get homosexuals into the military than any saber–rattling on behalf of the free world — admitted that due to precipitous defense department budget cuts the U.S. will soon have the smallest fleet since 1915, the lowest number of ground forces since 1940, and the fewest tactical aircraft in the history of the Air Force.

Obama’s War on American Generals (FrontPage Magazine)

General McKiernan was fired for the same offense that General McArthur had been targeted during the Korean War: He had demanded competency from an incompetent Democrat.

Obama has constantly swapped out generals … many of them were fired because they threatened Obama politically in some way.

General Dempsey, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, exemplifies the costs of career survival in the age of Obama. Dempsey echoes everything that the civilians tell him. He never disagrees with them in public and likely not in private. Whatever new gimmick comes out of the White House, whether it’s Green Energy or homosexuality, he’s right there behind it and out in front of it.

Dempsey has no ideas of his own and he doesn’t need any. He has nothing to bring to the table except a willingness to act as Obama’s pet parrot in a uniform.

What’s Behind Obama’s Military Purge?/Personal Liberty Digest

Since the Sept. 11 Benghazi, Libya, massacre, President Barack Obama has sacked his CIA director and two of his top military commanders, demoted one and found another caught up in the scandal involving the CIA director. This many top commanders being relieved at one time is unprecedented in U.S. history … This is reminiscent of Joseph Stalin’s and Adolf Hitler’s purges and executions of top military commanders who did not toe the line — without the bullets.

Air Force Says Drag Acts Symbolize Gay Pride (Fox News)

The U.S. Air Force said that a well-known drag queen group was invited to perform on base during a “Diversity Day” celebration because drag is a “symbol of gay pride and unity.

“Drag acts to this day represent the struggle for freedom and equality of the LGBT community, while at the same time providing a deep-rooted historical form of entertainment for the LGBT culture,” said Peggy Hodge, a spokesperson for the Office of Public Affairs.

The Diversity Day celebration also featured a speech by Brigadier General Tammy Smith and included booths representing and honoring a number of ethnic heritages as well as an LGBT booth. Smith became the first openly gay general after the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”

    Obviously the military is FUBAR.
It took Reagan to re-build a military devastated by Carter.
That was partially part of the economic rebound under Reagan.

  6. It’s disgusting! America is becoming a laughing stock under this Comondanta in Chief..

  7. Bob Mack says:

From Civilization Watch by Orson Scott Card:

On foreign policy, Obama is already the dumbest president in American history, and there’s so much competition for that title. Only the fact that Al Gore, John Kerry, and Joe Biden were never president leaves him in sole possession of the crown.

Obama is, by character and preference, a dictator. He hates the very idea of compromise; he demonizes his critics and despises even his own toadies in the liberal press. He circumvented Congress as soon as he got into office by appointing “czars” who didn’t need Senate approval. His own party hasn’t passed a budget ever in the Senate.

In his years as president, the national media have never challenged Obama on anything. His lies and mistakes are unreported or quickly forgotten or explicitly denied; his critics are demonized.

It’s hard to imagine how American press coverage would be different if Obama were a Hitler- or Stalin-style dictator, except of course that everyone at Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, and the Rhinoceros Times would be in jail. Or dead.

Having been anointed from the start of his career because he was that magical combination — a black man who talks like a white man (that’s what they mean by calling him “articulate” and a “great speaker”) — he has never had to work for a living, and he has never had to struggle to accomplish goals. He despises ordinary people, is hostile to any religion that doesn’t have Obama as its deity, and his contempt for the military is complete.

  8. TomR,armed in Texas says:

Dempsey epitomizes too many of the officer corps. They put career above men and mission. The combat Marines court martialled for killing civilians in Fallujah were sacrificed by Marine brass seeking promotion. Other Marine brass want to gain ribbons by court martialling the four Marines that pissed on dead Taliban. And Army brass sacrificed an Army Ranger captain for killing a Taliban prisoner during a fight. That captain got 25 years at Leavenworth. Lt Col. Allen West was retired becase he scared a prisoner for information that saved some of West’s men. And ranking brass have gone along with calling the Fort Hood massacre a workplace incident instead of a terrorist act. That keeps some of the soldier victims from receiving Purple Hearts. And look at the way Nadal Hasan has been babied with “rights” for four years.

The military is badly crippled by ten plus years of no win war. It is also crippled at the top by “don’t rock the politically correct boat”. Gen Dempsey is just the top honcho of the flawed top brass.

  9. by the way, that newsmax article doesn’t make clear something important: that decision to give homosexuals a special 10 day leave if they are stationed in a “no same sex marriage” state . . . that is PAID leave. word has already come down thru the ranks on that one, and can you guess how popular it is? this is a special benny–no heteros get paid leave for marriage plans.

  10. Mustang says:

I lament there are only one or two general officers today who have the courage of their convictions that General Singlaub did. Dempsey isn’t the only pussy wearing stars on his uniform; we have a Marine Corps commandant who, while sucking the president’s … well, you know, conspires with other generals of his ilk to screw damn fine combat Marines; a pox on all their houses. In my view, there should be NO one promoted to general who has not received a combat decoration, and then no one promoted higher than major general.

    • Bob Mack says:

A JCS chief without a CIB doesn’t give me a great of confidence. Hell, why not just draft 7/11 clerks and promote ’em to generals? I’ll go ya one better, MUSTANG … prohibit anyone from running for Congress or the presidency who has not previously served in the U.S. armed forces. Let these clowns put their own precious behinds in harm’s way for a change before they’re allowed to put someone else there.

    • I agree – Mustang!!

  11. Obama and his ass-kissing generals are a disgrace every American who ever wore our nation’s uniform. They have no shame. None. I was shocked when not a single senior officer resigned in protest of the cancellation of DADT. Man, our country is in a deep spiral. Excellent post, and thank you for your service.

    • Bob Mack says:

Yeah, SAM, I’d hoped to see one or two who wore stars for more than decoration. DADT as a policy was bad enough, but open homosexuality in the ranks is going to be catastrophic. Combined with the lowering of physical requirements to accommodate women that shouldn’t be in combat battalions in the first place, and what we have is a blueprint for disaster.

  12. LD Jackson says:

One thing especially strikes me about all this. Why does our military have to be so “diverse” or accepting of such perverse behaviors as homosexuality? Since when is diversity more important than our military being able to take on and defeat any enemy who dares to attack or go against us? Instead of being the strong arm of defense, our military is bending itself over backwards to be more accepting of those who are “different”. Given the enemies we are facing in today’s world, that’s not exactly a pleasant thought.

    • Bob Mack says:

Obama’s military … a “hollow force” according to Sen. Imhofe:

Oklahoma’s senior senator says the U.S. military is suffering – severely – under the administration of Barack Obama.

“We have a hollow force,” Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., told the Norman, Okla., Transcript in a visit to the newspaper offices recently. He said the U.S. military needs to be rebuilt, and if there’s a need to cut spending, the “bloated bureaucracies” are a good place to start.

It was Maj. Gen. Patrick Brady, author of “Dead Men Flying,” who wrote in a commentary just months ago on WND that the issue of the military is a problem. He blasted Obama’s economic policies, which have left unemployment high, food stamp demand soaring and wages plummeting. But he said much worse than that is “Obama’s emasculation, socialization and feminization of our military.” Brady described that as a greater threat to the U.S. than the economy.

      • LD Jackson says:

Senator Inhofe isn’t likely to win many friends with his commentary, but he isn’t know for pulling many punches. We need many more in Washington who are willing to tell the truth about where our country is headed.

You seem to have an impressive group of surrender-monkey defeatist at your blog. You espouse everything USA is/does is bad and it is all hopeless (and of course it President Obama’s fault). Was this your attitude when you were desperately losing in Viet Nam?

Does you hate for USA go so far as to have you return your military retirement pay and your medals?

    • Bob Mack says:

Not everything the US does is bad; mostly it’s just what the Democrats/Socialists do in its name. And, of course, you don’t know the first friggin’ thing about Vietnam, same as draft dodgers like Bill Clinton and his ilk. All they ever knew about the ‘Nam was that they were afraid to go. BTW, despite being usually outnumbered if rarely outgunned, the only “desperate” losing the military ever did in that war was inflicted by the US Congress, controlled, as I recall, by liberal Democrats — few if any of whom ever wore their country’s uniform. As far as returning medals, I’m fond of the few I have. I think I’ll keep ’em. Besides, I believe It was actually Hanoi John Kerry who popularized the military medal toss — over any wall where a few sodden members of the Fourth Estate gathered to chronicle the antics of what they lovingly called “The Movement.” Hate the USA? I once risked life and limb for it. Did you?
      Fondly,
      Me
