Wolves At The Door

Diversity to a liberal consists of something along the line of inviting a cannibal and a Christian to dinner, then having the Christian sit in the stew pot.  Even if the intention is pure, bad ideas can have dire consequences.

Such is the case in the northern Rockies, where in 1995, wolf packs from Canada were imported into the wilderness by the federal government in the interest of eco-system diversity.  The results, while pleasing bureaucrats thousands of miles away, are not quite as satisfactory to those folks who actually have to contend with the beasts:

Wolf sightings have now become common place in north central Idaho and people living in these rural logging towns are getting more and more worried about the safety of their pets and families…

“And you see a lot of women now, because of this, packing their pistols while taking their kids for walks. You can’t leave your kids at bus stops, you’ve got to watch them every minute,” Anderson said…

“The first dog I found was Ruby,” hunter Shane Richards said. “They didn’t try to kill her by getting her by the throat like they say predators do. They just went in and started tearing her guts out, eating her alive.”

…While environmentalists worry a wolf population that’s still recovering in some areas can’t withstand that kind of hit, if you were to ask the residents in Clearwater County, they’d tell you 30 dead wolves is still not enough. (Hunter Becomes The Hunted In Idaho Wolf Attack)

Wolf predations have become so alarming, that Idaho has declared it a disaster:

Karen Calisterio…said four wolves recently trapped her in the driveway of her Benewah County home.

“I cannot convey to you the horror of that event,” she said. “The government’s wolves have free rein of my property and I do not. Until something is done about these wolves, I’m a prisoner in my own home.”

The Idaho situation reminds me of Barack Obama’s importation into the United States of thousands of immigrants from Islamic terror-sponsoring countries via the so-called “religious” and “diversity” visas:

Obama wasted no time in opening up the visa regulations when he took office…beginning with “religious visas.” Before, whoever wanted to enter as a supposed ‘missionary’ needed to demonstrate his/her affiliation with a religious institution for at least two years. Obama changed it to almost no proof at all…

It is predominately Muslims who use the “religious visa”. And that number is quite high. Many countries such as Pakistan or territories such as Palestine use this type of visa, because it has been harder for them to get a regular visa (though that is no longer true for the Palestinians). But because most Muslims can’t really provide or do not want to provide the information of a specific mosque they’ve attended or they’ve “preached” at, they complained — and now DOS has granted their wish of waiving the 2-year proof requirement…

Another type of visa that is dangerous and is an IV (Immigrant Visa), is what is called a “Diversity” visa — a class of immigrants known as “diversity immigrants.” Diversity Visas (DV) each fiscal year are made available to persons from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States. The annual DV program makes visas available to persons meeting the simple eligibility requirements. A computer-generated, random lottery drawing chooses selectees for diversity visas. The visas are distributed among six geographic regions, with a greater number of visas going to regions with lower rates of immigration.

Obama Authorizes Additional 80,000 “Refugees” To Enter Country

President Barack Hussein Obama, in a determination letter to Congress, has announced that he will allow an additional 80,000 immigrants – – mostly from Islamic countries – – to resettle in the United States during fiscal year 2011.

Mr. Obama says that the increase in Muslim immigrants “is justified by humanitarian concerns or is otherwise in the national interest.”

Now, it’s possible these newcomers are the proverbial “moderate Muslims” — creatures oft rumored but rarely seen.  It’s equally possible they are not.  One thing is for sure—there have been more documented attacks made upon human beings by Muslims than by any combination of wild and ravening animals.  Maybe it’s time to declare a Muslim disaster.
